I don't get a paste image option when I right click to paste. I can paste images into Onenote from the web though. It works on onenote online, but not the windows program.

Mine is just labeled OneNote, the windows store is also labeled Onenote. There's no about section, so I don't know exactly what version I have. I tried ctrl+C and it doesn't work. The windows store got downloaded, it's the same version I was using, the PC program.

Thanks for the details. Are you using the OneNote app from Microsoft 365 labeled “OneNote” or the Store version “OneNote for Windows 10”?
With Microsoft 365 OneNote and updates on, Microsoft supports pasting images using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V and moving images with Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V. Right-click menus may not show the paste option. If the Store version won’t install, continue using the Microsoft 365 version and make sure Windows and Office are fully updated, since updates often fix paste issues.

In the Windows app, Microsoft supports pasting images from other programs or the web, but copying and pasting images within OneNote itself may not always work. Make sure your OneNote is updated, use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy and paste, and use Ctrl+X to move images. If it works in OneNote Online, you can use that as a temporary option. Hello, thanks for your response. I get OneNote from the Microsoft 365 subscription. I have auto update as the default. I tried downloading from the Microsoft store, but it got stuck loading.
