Need Archived Installer for SSMA 10.3

Hi,

I’m running SQL Server 2022 Express on Windows 10 (64‑bit) and using SSMA for Access. With SSMA 10.4, I keep getting the error “Bad parameters for connection” when connecting via Windows Authentication.

I understand this is a known regression in 10.4. Could someone from Microsoft please provide a link to the archived SSMA 10.3 installer (Access to SQL Server edition), which works correctly?

Hi @Mario Jaile ,

Microsoft no longer provides public download links for older SSMA versions. Only the latest build (10.4) is available on the official download page.

To get SSMA 10.3 (Access → SQL Server edition), you will need to open a Microsoft Support ticket and request the archived installer. Microsoft can provide older SSMA builds only through support, not publicly.

If it won't works, then open a support https://support.serviceshub.microsoft.com/supportforbusiness/create case and ask specifically for SSMA 10.3 due to the known “Bad parameters for connection” regression in 10.4.

I am also having this issue after updating to 10.4 on 2025/12/16 - is there an outlook for a fix?

Thanks for confirming @Jeff Roberts. Yes, this is a known regression in SSMA 10.4 affecting Windows Authentication (“Bad parameters for connection”).

At this time, there is no public ETA for a fix. The product team is aware, but no hotfix or rollback build has been announced yet.

As a workaround, the only supported option is to request the SSMA 10.3 archived installer via a Microsoft Support ticket, referencing this regression. Public downloads are no longer available.
