I attempted to run step 2, the trouble shooter, but it eventually let me to here.

If you're encountering the message "We're still trying to activate Office for you," there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Time Zone Settings: Sometimes, incorrect time zone settings in Windows can interfere with activation. Ensure that your time zone is set correctly.
    2. Restart Your Device: A simple restart can sometimes resolve activation issues.
    3. Run the Activation Troubleshooter: You can use the troubleshooter available in the Get Help app to diagnose and fix activation problems.
    4. Remove Office Credentials: Go to Credential Manager in Windows, remove any credentials related to Microsoft Office, and then try activating again.
    5. Repair Office: You can also try repairing your Office installation. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, select your Office product, and choose the Repair option.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

My ASUS VivoBook came with Office Home & Student 2019 lifetime.

I used it for around 4 years.

After resetting Windows, it is now asking me to buy Microsoft 365.

I lost the original Microsoft account used during first activation.

Please help me recover the Office 2019 license

    Hello,

    Can you tell me -

Did you purchase this from Microsoft, or third party?

What's the full name of the office product? For example, Microsoft 365 personal or family, or Office Home 2024, or something else?

You said a pre-existing office account - what do you mean exactly by that? Does the account currently have another office product associated with?
