Microsoft Windows 10 is installed on my Computer which has been back on 14 October 2025. I tried to upgrade it to Windows 11 but due to missing the TPM, upgradation was not possible on the part of the Microsoft Corporation in regular course of its upgradation of the Windows 10 to Windows 11. By pressing Windows Key + R, I came to know that there is missing of Compatible TPM on my computer. Now I am to know how to enable TPM.

To enable TPM (Trusted Platform Module) on your computer, follow these steps:

  1. Restart your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. You can usually do this by pressing a specific key during the boot process, such as F2, F10, Del, or Esc. The exact key may vary depending on your motherboard manufacturer.
  2. Once in the BIOS/UEFI, look for settings related to TPM or PTT (Platform Trust Technology for Intel) / fTPM (for AMD). This is often found under a security tab or advanced settings.
  3. Enable TPM if it is disabled. If you see options for TPM, make sure it is set to Enabled.
  4. Save changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI. Your computer will restart.
  5. After enabling TPM, you can check if it is recognized by Windows by pressing Windows Key + R, typing tpm.msc, and pressing Enter. This will open the TPM Management on Local Computer window, where you can verify the status of TPM.

If you follow these steps and TPM is still not detected, ensure that your system firmware is up to date and that your hardware supports TPM 2.0, as this is a requirement for Windows 11.
