I tried several times to create an Azure account but the result was “ you’re not eligible to create an Azure account “ and I couldn’t know the reason of this!

I’ve submitted all requirements my US LLC information and a physical Credit Card, and then I got the same result as the above.

I don’t know if it is IP issue or not. but ( I believe Egypt is allowed).

After several attempts I couldn’t get the Azure startup sponsorship but I barely got a “ Pay-as-you-go” account.

So, Would you tell me How can I get the Azure free account “sponsorship” ?

    Dear Azure Community Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing to seek your advice regarding Azure access for learners from countries where the Azure Free Account is currently unavailable or restricted, such as Mozambique.

I am currently preparing for the Microsoft Azure certification exams AZ-104 and would like to gain practical hands-on experience using the Azure Portal. Unfortunately, when attempting to create an Azure Free Account, I receive a message indicating that my region is not eligible for the offer.

As a cybersecurity and cloud enthusiast, hands-on practice is essential for understanding Azure services beyond the theoretical content provided by Microsoft Learn.

Could you please advise if there are any alternatives available for learners in unsupported regions, such as:

    • Azure for Students (if applicable)
    • Microsoft-sponsored training subscriptions or sandbox environments
    • Azure Pass or trial vouchers provided through Microsoft events
    • Regional programs for countries where the Free Account is unavailable
    • Any other recommended options for certification candidates

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or recommendations that would allow me to continue developing my Azure skills despite these regional limitations.

Thank you very much for your time and support. I look forward to your response.

    Hey there, Mahmoud Hassan Hamdy

When creating an Azure free account, it must be an account that has never signed up or used Azure before. This means the account shouldn't have had any Azure subscriptions tied to it previously. You must also have bank/billing details added to the account.

I believe the system will use your bank information to check if it has been used to sign up for a free trial previously on Azure.

The system will check if your eligible for the free trial. If it comes back saying you are not eligible, then you would have to sign up for a pay as you go subscription here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/purchase-options/azure-account

You can still sign up in the Microsoft Startup's program with a pay as you go subscription. You can sign up using this site here: https://www.microsoft.com/startups

    Hope this helps,
    Nathan

To be eligible for an Azure free account or sponsorship, ensure that you meet the following requirements:

    1. Account Type: You must be using a personal Microsoft Account (MSA) to sign up. If you are using a work or school account, you will not be eligible.
    2. Existing Subscriptions: You should not have any existing Azure subscriptions. If you have previously created an Azure account, you may not qualify for the free account.
    3. Credit Card Information: Ensure that the credit card information you provided is accurate and matches your billing address. This is necessary for identity verification and to cover any services not included in the sponsorship.
    4. Business Verification: If you are applying for startup credits, your business may need to be verified. Make sure all your information is complete and accurate before submitting for verification.
    5. Location: Confirm that your location is eligible for the Azure services you are trying to access.

If you continue to face issues, consider reaching out to Azure support for assistance. They can help identify specific reasons for the eligibility error you are encountering.
