Access to Purview Profile Scan Results via Rest API

We are trying to retrieve Microsoft Purview Profiling results through API endpoints. We are able to get the metadata information but not the actual Profiling results. Is it possible, if so could you please share some details on the endpoint.

Good question.

Right now, Microsoft doesn’t expose Purview data profiling results through a public REST API. The APIs mainly cover metadata, scans, classifications, etc., but not the detailed profiling output you see in the portal.

So if you’re able to fetch metadata but not profiling stats, that’s expected - there isn’t a supported endpoint for pulling full profiling results programmatically today.

Most customers who need similar info end up:

  • Using classifications/metadata via API, or
  • Exporting what they need from the portal manually

If programmatic access to profiling results is important for your use case, the best route is to raise a feature request or support ticket so it can be tracked by the product team.

Short answer: not available via API at this time.
