How to pass invalid token to create resources on a free account

I started this learn path couple of weeks ago but could not continue with the practice because my dashboard on Azure Portal says "invalid token..."

I've tried several troubleshooting like cleaning browser history and cache, using incognito mode, using a different account and different browsers, all to no avail.

I wanted to create a new account (trial) but couldn't because it kept rejecting all cards I tried.

Attached is the picture of the error page. Can someone help please. I need to complete this course and take test.

Sup. Try using a fresh, valid access token and make sure the token’s audience matches the Azure Resource Manager endpoint you call

Thank you Yevhen, but how do I get fresh access token?

Do I need paid subscription? I couldn't create account because the portal doesn't accept my card details. I'll appreciate any further explanation.

You can get a fresh access token in a few simple ways depending on your scenario. For interactive sign‑in use az login (Azure CLI) or the device code flow; both will give you a token you can use for Azure Resource Manager. For apps or automation use the OAuth client credentials flow with a registered app in your Azure AD and grant it the appropriate application permissions and admin consent; then your code can request and refresh tokens automatically with MSAL or the official SDKs instead of copying tokens by hand. A paid Azure subscription is not required just to get an Azure AD access token or to register an app, but if you want to create resources in a subscription you must have an active subscription and the right role on that subscription; creating a subscription usually requires a payment method. If the portal won’t accept your card, try the device code flow or use a work/school account in an existing tenant for testing, and ask your org admin to grant you a subscription or the needed role.

Finally, always inspect tokens with jwt.ms or a JWT decoder to check audience, scopes and expiry, and implement token refresh logic so your app requests a new token before the old one expires.
