    Hello

I don't see the error message you mentioned you got..

I also don't see a pdf file you mentioned in your post.

So what exactly is the error you received?

The person who invited you to set up a meeting with, is using an organization account, is that right?

    Hi Robin Caddy,

Thank you for reaching out and for the detailed description, this really helps narrow things down.

Based on your description, this usually happens when Teams cannot fully provision a calendar/identity for the account being used, often due to a sign-in mismatch or old cached data.

Could you please try the following, in this order:

    1. Open the link in a clean browser session

    • Use a private/incognito window in Edge, Chrome, or Safari.
    • Paste the meeting link directly into that window.
    • When prompted, choose Continue on this browser (instead of opening the Teams app).

    2. Make sure you join with the same email the invite was sent to

    • If the invite was sent to your iCloud or Gmail address, sign in (or join as guest) with that exact address.
    • If it asks to "set up Teams," choose Join as a guest and enter your name, this skips the Calendar/Teams Free setup entirely and takes you straight into the meeting.

    3. Clear Teams-related cookies and cache (if step 1–2 still loops)

    • In your browser settings, clear cookies for teams.microsoft.com, teams.live.com, and login.microsoftonline.com.
    • Close the browser fully and try the link again in a new private window.

4.Use the Teams desktop or mobile app

I hope the steps above help resolve the setup loop and allow you to join your Teams meetings without further interruption. Should the issue persist or any new errors appear, please feel free to reply back.

The issue description matches known problems where the Teams Meeting add-in or online meeting provider configuration prevents Outlook/Teams from correctly creating or opening Teams meeting invitations.

Use the following checks and fixes, depending on where the meeting is being set up.

    1. Verify the Teams Meeting add-in in Outlook
    • In Outlook Desktop, select File > Manage COM Add-ins.
    • Locate Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office.
    • Expand Options and choose Do not monitor this add-in for the next 30 days. If that option is not available, choose Always enable this add-in.
    • Select Apply, then Close.
    • If the add-in is still missing, re-enable it from Disabled Items:
      • Go to File > Options > Add-ins.
      • At the bottom, next to Manage, select Disabled items, then Go.
      • If Teams is listed, select it and choose Enable.
      • Restart Outlook and test the Teams meeting setup link again.
    1. Prevent Outlook from disabling the Teams add-in If the add-in keeps getting disabled, configure the registry so Outlook does not disable it:
    • Open Registry Editor.
    • Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Resiliency\DoNotDisableAddinList.
    • Create a new DWORD (32-bit) value:
      • Name: TeamsAddin.FastConnect
      • Value: 1
    • Close Registry Editor and restart Outlook.
    1. Confirm system requirements for the Teams Meeting add-in
    • Ensure .NET Framework 4.8 and WebView2 are installed on the device. These are required for the Teams Meeting add-in to function.
    1. Fix missing Teams toggle / default online meeting provider If the problem is that the Teams toggle or Teams provider is missing when creating meetings (for example in new Outlook or Teams calendar), the mailbox calendar configuration may be corrupted.
    • An administrator can run the following PowerShell cmdlet for the affected user:
        Set-MailboxCalendarConfiguration -Identity <user> -DefaultOnlineMeetingProvider TeamsForBusiness

    • After this change, the Teams meeting toggle should appear again when creating events, and clicking setup links should use Teams correctly.
    1. If the Teams add-in still does not appear If the add-in is still missing after the steps above, verify the registry load behavior as described in the Teams add-in troubleshooting guidance:
    • Open RegEdit.exe.
    • Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\TeamsAddin.FastConnect.
    • Check the LoadBehavior value and ensure it is set to 3.
    • If it is not 3, change it to 3 and restart Outlook.

If these steps are applied (including the mailbox calendar configuration fix by an admin) and the required components (.NET 4.8, WebView2) are present, Teams meeting setup from Outlook/Teams invitations should start working again.
