Hello Microsoft Support Team,

I am facing issues with Microsoft Teams for the past few days.

The problems are:

  1. Sometimes the messages I send are not delivered.
  2. Occasionally, I am unable to share my screen during meetings or calls.
  3. Teams becomes slow or unstable at times.

I have already tried restarting the application and checking my internet connection, but the issue still continues.

Please help me resolve this problem as soon as possible.

Thank you,

    Hi @Shivam Pandey,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issues you’ve been experiencing with Microsoft Teams, including message delivery delays, screen sharing difficulties, and overall performance instability.

Please try the following steps to help fix the issue:

1/ Try using the web version

Access Teams via your browser to check if the issue is client-related: https://teams.cloud.microsoft/

2/ Ensure Teams is up to date

    • In Teams, click the three dots (…) next to your profile picture
    • Select About Teams to check your current version
    • If an update is available, you’ll see a notification at the top > click Update, then allow Teams to restart and apply the update Update Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support

3/ Sign out and restart Teams

    • Right-click the Teams icon in the system tray > Quit
    • Reopen Teams and sign back in

4/ Clear Teams cache / reset the app

    On Windows:

    Method 1 – Reset app:

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft Teams
    • Click the three dots (…) > Advanced options > Reset
    • Restart Teams

Method 2 – Clear cache manually:

    • Quit Teams
    • Press Win + R, paste:

    %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams

    • Delete all files/folders, then restart Teams

    On macOS:

    • Open Terminal and run:

    rm -rf ~/Library/Group\ Containers/UBF8T346G9.com.microsoft.teams

    rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.teams2

    • Restart Teams.

Here are additional steps to help fix screen sharing issues:

    1/ Test on another device

Try joining the same meeting from a different device. If screen sharing works there, it likely indicates an issue with your current device.

2/ Ask your IT admin to verify settings

    a. Confirm presenter permissions

Meeting organizers or admins can control who is allowed to present. If you’re joining as an attendee, the Share option may not appear unless the organizer updates the meeting settings or assigns you as a presenter.

    b. Check organization screen sharing policy

Screen sharing can be restricted at the organizational level. Admins manage this through Teams policies (e.g., Entire screen, Single application, or Disabled). If it’s set to Not enabled, screen sharing will be blocked for affected users.

    If the issue persists:

I recommend contacting your IT admin to open a support ticket through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, so Microsoft Support can perform a deeper investigation.

In case you do not know who is your IT admin, kindly refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

I hope this information helps. Please try the steps and let me know whether they resolve the issue. If the problem persists, we can work together to find a solution.
