    Hi shivakumar K.R,

I understand that you’re trying to activate your PC, but there is an important clarification first: IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC is designed for embedded / OEM / enterprise use only, not individual activation.

If you have access to an organization IT system or OEM provisioning, then you can follow the suggestions from the AI answer below. However, if you’re trying to use this as a personal PC, you need to switch to a consumer Windows edition:

    1. Back up your files (documents, photos, etc.) to an external storage
    2. On another working PC, download the Windows 10 Installation Media Tool
      1. Or Windows 11 if you want or/and your PC is compatible
      2. You need a formatted USB of at least 8GB
    3. Run the tool > Create installation media on the USB.
    4. Insert the newly created bootable USB to your new PC > restart it
    5. Press the boot key (usually F12 / Esc / F2 depending on the device)
    6. When Windows Setup starts, choose Install now and follow the prompts
    7. When asked for a product key, select I don’t have a product key to continue
    8. Choose Home or Pro > complete the installation > activate later with a valid license.

Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is not intended for personal desktop use. If you do not have access to OEM or enterprise licensing, you won’t be able to activate this edition properly.

To use and activate Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC (High End) on the machine, the following must be in place:

    1. Confirm the correct license type
    • Windows IoT Enterprise can be licensed either:
      • Through an OEM (preinstalled on a new device), or
      • Through Volume Licensing (KMS/MAK) for upgrades or existing devices.
    • For a new device purchased from a manufacturer, the license is normally an OEM license and must come from that OEM.
    1. If it is an OEM IoT device
    • The device should already be enabled for activation by the OEM before shipment.
    • Connect the device to the internet or a network that can reach Microsoft Activation Servers.
    • Check activation status:
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Activation, or
      • Run in a command prompt or PowerShell:
        • slmgr.vbs /dli (short info) or slmgr.vbs /dlv (detailed info).
    • If it shows not activated and you have an embedded product key (ePKEA/OA3.0), activation should complete automatically once the device can reach the activation servers. If it still fails, contact the machine/OEM supplier so they can verify the IoT OEM key and activation preparation.
    1. If using Volume Licensing (KMS/MAK) for IoT Enterprise LTSC
    • Install the appropriate key:
      • For KMS client activation (GVLK for Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC):
        • Run as administrator:
          • slmgr /ipk KBN8V-HFGQ4-MGXVD-347P6-PDQGT
      • For MAK activation (key from Volume Licensing Service Center):
        • slmgr /ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
    • Verify the edition transformation to IoTEnterpriseS:
      • In PowerShell (admin):
        • Dism /Online /Get-CurrentEdition
      • Confirm Current Edition : IoTEnterpriseS.
    • Check activation status:
      • slmgr /dli
      • If not activated, trigger activation:
        • slmgr /ato
    • Check activation expiry:
      • slmgr /xpr
    1. If the device cannot access the internet
    • For OEM ePKEA devices:
      • Use telephone activation:
        1. Press Windows + R, type SLUI 4, press Enter.
        2. Call the Microsoft Activation Center number shown.
        3. Provide the 63‑digit Installation ID.
        4. Enter the 48‑digit Confirmation ID and select Activate Windows.
    • Or use Volume Activation Management Tool (VAMT) for proxy activation in environments without direct internet access.
    1. If activation still fails
    • If the PC was bought pre-owned or refurbished and the key has been used beyond the allowed number of devices, a new valid product key or license is required.
    • If substantial hardware changes were made (for example, motherboard replacement), reactivation may require the original product key or a new license.
    • For digital licenses or unclear license origin, contact Microsoft support or the OEM/manufacturer of the machine with purchase proof so they can verify and assist with activation.
