Teams chat permission

Because these settings are controlled by the school, students usually cannot change them on their own. I recommend contacting your teacher or school IT administrator and explaining the following:

• You are unable to start or create new chats with classmates.
• You would like to know whether your account has restricted, limited, or supervised chat permissions.
• If possible, please provide the exact error message you see when trying to add someone, as this can help your school IT team identify the related policy more easily.
