Hello

Microsoft Purview extension for Edge browser steals focus.

When focus is stolen, web-site usually replace textbox with other control for rich text viewing.

User have to click again on textbox and paste.

Please fix edge or purview extension to make it better.

Thanks.

    Hi Siarhei Kuchuk

This behavior is likely caused by Microsoft Purview (Endpoint DLP) triggering a check or popup during paste/actions, which can temporarily shift focus away from the textbox. This results in needing to click back before continuing.

As a workaround, verify if DLP policies (e.g., paste restrictions) are applied, and test with policies disabled or in InPrivate mode (if allowed). If it persists, report it to your IT admin.

    1. Confirm if a Purview DLP policy (e.g., “paste to browser” or “supported browsers”) is applied to the device
    2. Test in InPrivate mode or with policies disabled (if permitted) to confirm it’s policy‑driven
    3. If you manage the environment, review DLP configuration for:
      • Paste restrictions
      • Browser activity monitoring
    4. Report via admin/support channel with:
      • Edge version
      • Purview extension/version (if visible)
      • Whether it happens only on paste or also on typing

Hope you'll get this sorted out!
