M365 Agent

I am using M365 Copilot(Premium) to create an agent for my organization. In my agent, I have attached(embedded) the source file from my computer. When I query the agent, it is giving response from the attachment. However, if anybody else queries it, it is not bringing the response from the document. Is it as expected? I know we can keep it in sharepoint but users should be given access to the file explicitly to read from it which we dont want and hence attached the file.

    Hi Raj, Vinitha

Based on your description, the file appears to have been uploaded as embedded content, since it was attached directly from your computer. For embedded files, Microsoft documentation indicates that

With that in mind, if other users have been able to successfully access or add the shared agent, it is generally not expected that only the creator would receive responses from the embedded file.

That said, you may consider verifying whether the affected users have the same Premium license assigned as yours

As an additional check, you could try uploading a simple unlabeled TXT or DOCX file with sample content, then share the agent with one affected user. This can help confirm whether the behavior remains consistent with a basic file setup.

I hope this provides additional insight.
