Recurring meeting series deleted only for my calendar

A long time ago - months - I deleted a meeting series I had set up from my calendar for all the attendees. The series however is deleted only for my calendar (I am unable to see it in deleted folder) and it still appears for all the attendees in their calendar.

I did try to have the meeting invite forwarded to me, but it comes to me with disabled options where I can't accept or decline or tentatively accept the meeting.

I need help to have the meeting series deleted for all the invitees.

How do I go about it?

    1 -- Have you tried the trick described in this doc to get the series back on your Calendar using an edited ICS?
