    Hi Anne Johns,

Since your earbuds work correctly with your phone, the issue may be related to how the laptop is routing audio or detecting the device rather than the earbuds themselves.

Please try the following quick checks:

    1. Connect the earbuds to the laptop.
    2. Go to Settings > System > Sound and confirm the earbuds are selected as the current Output device.
    3. If they are Bluetooth earbuds, remove them from Bluetooth & devices, restart the laptop, and pair them again.
    4. Run the built-in audio troubleshooter from Settings > System > Sound to check for common audio configuration issues.

The suggestion from the Independent Advisor is also an optional approoach for you to follow, if no newer driver is found, check the laptop manufacturer's support site for the latest audio driver available for your model.

If the issue persists, please let us know:

    • Whether the earbuds connect through Bluetooth or a 3.5 mm audio jack
    • Your laptop make and model
    • Whether Windows detects the earbuds when they are connected

    Hi,

It is pairing, but there is no sound. If possible, please access Device Manager (via the search bar), go to the Bluetooth tab, take a screenshot, and post it here.

Have you tried unpairing and pairing it again?

    Thanks.
