How can I add my own notes and directions to a calendar entry that someone else has created? As thee calendar entries lack information and direction, is there a space i can use for my own notes?

Hi Wendy Glock,

I understand that you want to add your own notes or directions to a calendar entry created by someone else. Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors here cannot access or change your calendar settings.

To make sure the answer fits your situation, could you please confirm one detail: is this a meeting invitation you received from someone else, or an event on a shared calendar that someone gave you access to?

In general, if the calendar entry was created by someone else, Outlook.com may not provide a separate private notes field inside that same event for your own notes only. If you have edit permission to a shared calendar, editing the event may change the shared calendar item itself, not just your private copy.

As a workaround, you can create a separate private calendar item at the same time or keep the directions in OneNote/another notes app and include the meeting details there. This keeps your personal notes separate from the organizer’s original calendar entry.

I hope this helps clarify the situation.
