Unable to Leave Inactive Microsoft Family Group – "Manage Consent" Page Returns Empty

Hello,

I am writing to request assistance with leaving my Microsoft Family Group, which is currently inactive. The only other member of the group is my son, who is 19 years old and an adult. I would like to dissolve or leave this family group entirely.

I attempted to follow the recommended steps to remove the child account consent before leaving the group:

  1. I went to family.microsoft.com and logged in with my account (the family organizer account).
  2. I navigated to the child profile dashboard.
  3. I clicked on the three-dot menu and selected "Manage Consent."
  4. However, the Manage Consent page loads completely blank/empty — no options are displayed and no actions can be taken.

I also tried accessing the page in an InPrivate/incognito browser window as suggested, but the same problem occurred — the Manage Consent page remained empty.

Because I cannot access the Manage Consent page, I am unable to remove consent or remove my son's account from the family group, and therefore I cannot leave or close the family group.

Could you please advise on how to resolve the blank Manage Consent page, or provide an alternative method for me to leave this inactive family group? Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

    Hello,

I believe this may be a widespread issue. I am seeing reports from users in different locales experiencing the same problem.

I am experiencing the same issue on my end as well. I have not found any official Microsoft announcement about this yet, but at this point, it does not appear to be something you can fix locally. We may need to wait for Microsoft to address it on their end.
