Cannot reactivate Windows 10 after motherboard/CPU upgrade.

Hello all, I recently upgraded my motherboard & CPU and now it says that my copy of Windows 10 is not activated. I made triple-sure that my Microsoft account was tied to this Windows activation before installing new mobo/CPU (it actually says "Your copy of Windows is linked to your Microsoft account" on my PC pre-install) but now when I try to run the Troubleshooter it says it cannot activate Windows. I've also been led down the Get Help tree and even entered my Installation ID when prompted, and it seems like I've reached a dead-end.

I figure maybe since Windows 10 isn't supported anymore is why I can't reactivate? Any further steps I can take would be appreciated, and thank you!

    Hi,

Did you have an activated Windows license from a free upgrade from Windows 7, 8, or 8.1, or did you purchase a digital or physical Windows 10 license?

I ask because you might have an OEM license; this type of license is tied to the hardware—specifically the motherboard—so if you replace it, you lose the license.

If it is an FPP (retail) license, you can transfer it to another PC, but you cannot do so with an OEM license.

    Thanks.
