Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management

I understand that after New Outlook tried to upgrade and failed, the app now cannot send or receive mail, some folders appear blank, and People loads slowly. Could you confirm:
- Is the account Outlook.com/Hotmail/Live, Gmail/Yahoo/iCloud, or an email account from your internet provider?
- Do you see any error when selecting View > Sync?
- Does New Outlook show the account as connected, or does it ask you to sign in again?
Please try the steps below:
1) Keep using webmail as a temporary workaround
Since your messages are visible in webmail, please continue using your email provider’s webmail for urgent sending and receiving while troubleshooting New Outlook.
2) Run a manual sync in New Outlook
Open New Outlook, then go to View > Sync.
After that, check whether the following areas start loading again:
- Inbox
- Drafts
- Junk Email
- People
3) Repair the New Outlook app
Close New Outlook first, then go to: Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Outlook (new) > Advanced options > Repair. After the repair finishes, reopen New Outlook and test sending and receiving again.
4) Reset New Outlook if Repair does not work
If Repair does not fix the issue, go back to: Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Outlook (new) > Advanced options > Reset After resetting, open New Outlook again and add the account if prompted. Reference: Repair apps and programs in Windows | Microsoft Support
5) Uninstall and reinstall New Outlook
If Reset does not help, uninstall New Outlook and reinstall it.
- Open the Start menu.
- Find Outlook (new).
- Select Uninstall.
- Reinstall New Outlook from the Microsoft Store.
6) Update Windows and New Outlook
After reinstalling, install any pending Windows updates from Settings > Windows Update, then check the Microsoft Store for updates to New Outlook. Once updates are installed, restart the device and test New Outlook again.
7) If this is not an Outlook.com, Hotmail, or Live account, check the account password or app password
If the mailbox is from Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, or an internet provider, sign in to that provider’s webmail first and confirm the account password still works. Some third-party email providers may require an app password for mail apps.
