how to reinstall hid compliant touch screen after uninstalling it and restarting
so because my touchscreen wasnt working i went to device manager and uninstalled the hid compliant touch screen then immediately restarted my computer. it appears to be missing and i dont know how to bring it back
also to mention it was originally hidden and gave me a code 45 before i did all this
also to mention one of my other drivers has a code 10 idrk what it means though

If the driver still doesn't install automatically, I suggest you contact HP support; they should be able to provide you with the correct driver.

Don’t worry, this is usually not permanent.
First, open Device Manager → View → “Show hidden devices” → Action → “Scan for hardware changes”, this forces Windows to re-detect the touchscreen. Then restart the PC once.
If it still doesn’t appear, please provide your laptop brand and exact model, because touchscreen drivers are usually OEM-specific and may need to be reinstalled from the manufacturer’s official driver package.
Code 45 usually just means the device is temporarily not being detected, not that it’s gone. Code 10 usually indicates a driver issue or mismatch, which may also require reinstalling the correct driver.
