Message from regulatory documents ->

Hello, Upon review of your toll-free verification application by the toll-free messaging aggregator, your application has been rejected for the following reason: business registration number is missing or invalid. We will need one of the following letters to move forward with an appeal.

  1. CP 575 EIN Confirmation Letter • This is the official letter from the IRS confirming your Employer Identification Number (EIN) assignment. It shows your legal business name and EIN as registered with the IRS.
  2. 147C EIN Verification Letter • If you’ve lost your CP 575, you can request a 147C letter from the IRS. This letter also confirms your EIN and legal business name.

As a rejected application, your toll-free number will be subjected to these limits - https://aka.ms/TFV-FAQs. Please refer to this page for accepted Opt-in proofs - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/communication-services/concepts/sms/toll-free-verification-guidelines#opt-in. Quality Toll-free verification application: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/communication-services/concepts/sms/sms-faq#what-is-considered-a-high-quality-toll-free-verification-application Reaching out to Azure Support for guidance https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/communication-services/support

Thank you.

I have the CP 575 but no means to get it to those that need it.

  1. Go to Azure Portal
  2. Left menu → Help + Support
  3. Click Create a support request
  4. Issue type: Technical
  5. Subscription: your ACS subscription
  6. Service: Communication Services
  7. Resource: select your ACS resource
  8. Problem type: Phone Numbers
  9. Problem subtype: Toll‑Free Verification

Once you select Problem subtype: Toll‑Free Verification, Azure will automatically show:

File upload field (PDF, PNG, JPG)

Additional documentation field

Description box

This is the only path where uploads are enabled.

If you don’t see the upload field, you selected the wrong service or problem subtype.

It turns out that the only way that I could create a Service Request in the Portal was to upgrade from Basic to Developer (didn't work) - Then I upgraded to Standard for 100/mo.

    support

It shows that I should have been able to create a ticket with Developer

    Hi Tim Wheeler,

Thx for sharing urs issue here at Q&A portal. If ACS rejected the toll-free verification because the business registration number is missing/invalid, then yes, CP 575 or 147C is the right doc to submit for appeal. The upload option is normally shown only when the support case is opened under the right ACS category. Try this path

    Azure Portal > Help + Support > Create a support request > Technical > Communication Services > Phone Numbers > Toll-Free Verification

If the upload field still doesn’t show, create the case anyway and state that u have CP 575 ready but the portal doesn’t expose the upload control. Support can usually reply and request the file through the case thread.

Don’t post CP 575 publicly in Q&A. It has EIN/legal business info, so keep it inside the private support case only.

    Rgds,

    Alex
