After a recent update to windows 11 on my HP laptop, I can no longer access two network drives that had been mounted previously. Changing registry for Secure Signature and Guest logons did not resolve the issue. I understand that the next option is to remove this update - How do I do that?

Since this started after KB5065426, first try installing the latest Windows updates from Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates and restart the PC. Microsoft documented a network-share issue after the September 2025 update, and it was addressed in a later update, so updating may be safer than removing a security update.

If you still need to uninstall it, try this first:

    1. Go to Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates.
    2. Look for KB5065426 or the most recent Quality Update.
    3. Select it and choose Uninstall, then restart.
