We have enabled Defender for Database (at the resource level) for Azure Database for PostgreSQL flexible server. We would like to know if there is a specific testing method that can verify Defender for Database is working as expected. (Perform test actions → receive alerts in Defender for Cloud.)

    Hi,

There is no out of the box Test flow button but you can try some of the usual steps like login with username and incorrect password so failed attempt to login should trigger. Access from unknown location like outside the configured network perimeter, SQL injection methods can be used so it can track and brute force with multiple devices conenctions.

Also check this Alerts and Dashboard view for all the alerts - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/defender-for-cloud/defender-for-sql-alerts

    Hope this helps.
