I need to speak with a live person about Outlook

I need to schedule appointments that reoccur: for example every 4th Tuesday or the first Monday of the month and can no longer do so

Hi Bob Hanson

I understand how frustrating this is, especially if you previously relied on recurring patterns such as “the first Monday of the month” or “the fourth Tuesday of the month.”

To help me guide you precisely, could you please let me know:

  • Are you using an Outlook.com/Hotmail.com personal account?
  • Did this capability work previously in the same version of New Outlook?
  • Do you see the recurrence options at all, or are they missing from the menu?

As a quick check, if you're using a personal Outlook.com account in New Outlook for Windows, please try creating the same recurring appointment in Outlook on the web and let me know whether the result is the same.

Since you specifically requested a live person, you can contact Microsoft Support for personal Outlook.com accounts here:

  • Go to Contact Us - Microsoft Support
  • Select the product or service you're having issue with.
  • Click Get Home Support
  • Type a brief description of your issue in the search box.
  • Click Get Help and select Contact Support below.
  • Go to the Products and services tab and choose the appropriate product.
  • On the Category tab, choose the appropriate category or an alternative option.
  • Go to Confirm.
  • Look for and select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" (during business hours) if available. Explain your situation clearly.

Feel free to keep me posted. I truly appreciate your time and understanding.
