Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

To help narrow down the issue:

    1. Does the Save button do nothing, or do you get an error message?
    2. Can you edit and save the contact from Outlook.com/People via web?
    3. Is this contact saved under your Outlook/Hotmail account, Gmail account, or another account?

I noticed you posted under New Outlook, please first check if the same contact can be edited from Outlook web.

If it saves there, the issue is likely with the new Outlook app. Try this:

    • Close Outlook.
    • Open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
    • Find Outlook for Windows.
    • Click Advanced options.
    • Try Repair first.
    • If that does not work, try Reset.

Also make sure the contact is under your actual Contacts list, not Suggested contacts or a directory result. Suggested or directory contacts may not allow editing.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
