Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management

To help narrow down the issue:
- Does the Save button do nothing, or do you get an error message?
- Can you edit and save the contact from Outlook.com/People via web?
- Is this contact saved under your Outlook/Hotmail account, Gmail account, or another account?
I noticed you posted under New Outlook, please first check if the same contact can be edited from Outlook web.
- Go to https://outlook.live.com/people/
- Open the contact, edit it, then try to save.
If it saves there, the issue is likely with the new Outlook app. Try this:
- Close Outlook.
- Open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Find Outlook for Windows.
- Click Advanced options.
- Try Repair first.
- If that does not work, try Reset.
Also make sure the contact is under your actual Contacts list, not Suggested contacts or a directory result. Suggested or directory contacts may not allow editing.
