Intel Pentium N3540 doesn't support Windows 11. The only way to install Windows 11 on unsupported systems is by bypassing the CPU check.

    Please see:

How to install Windows 11 24H2 on unsupported hardware - Neowin: https://www.neowin.net/guides/how-to-install-windows-11-24h2-on-unsupported-hardware/

    Read the full disclaimer here.

Microsoft says, "If you proceed with installing Windows 11, your PC will no longer be supported and won't be entitled to receive updates."

Or, continue using Windows 10 until the ESU programme ends on 12 October, 2027.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, Intel Pentium CPU N3540 processor is not compatible for Windows 11, according to Microsoft.

Please check with official Windows 11 list of supported processors:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

    Regards.

    Hi,

Based on your screenshot, your computer is using an Intel Pentium CPU N3540. Unfortunately, this processor does not meet Microsoft's minimum system requirements for Windows 11, so your PC is not supported for an upgrade to Windows 11.

Windows 11 processor requirements start with 8th-generation Intel processors and newer, as well as newer AMD Ryzen series. Please check this list: https://learn.microsoft.com/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

To help you determine whether your device supports Windows 11, you can try running the PC Health Check tool: https://aka.ms/GetPCHealthCheckApp

Click 'check now' button and will tell you if compatible or not.

Find Windows 11 specs, features, and computer requirements: https://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-11-specifications?r=1

Based on your screenshot, your PC is running an Intel Pentium N3540 with 4 GB RAM. The main issue is that the processor is not on Microsoft's list of supported CPUs for Windows 11, so Windows Update won't offer the upgrade.

Before trying anything else, you can run the PC Health Check app to confirm the compatibility results. If it reports an unsupported processor, you won't be able to upgrade through the normal Windows Update process. While there are unofficial methods to install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, Microsoft doesn't recommend them because future updates and support aren't guaranteed.
