This issue is most likely caused by profile/locale or address-format validation rather than the browser or accents.
Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm country/region and profile data
Before sign-up, Azure requires that the account profile be complete and consistent:- Go to the Microsoft account center.
- Select Your info and verify:
- Country/Region is set to Vietnam.
- Contact email, street address, and phone number are filled in and correct.
- Ensure there is no mismatch between the country/region in your Microsoft account profile and what you selected in the Azure sign-up About you section.
- Ensure a valid locale (language/region) is set on the account
Address APIs used by Microsoft can reject address updates if the account profile is missing locale information (language/region). In that case, the backend treats the profile as incomplete and fails address validation.- In the Microsoft account profile, make sure a language/region (locale) is explicitly set and saved.
- After updating locale, try Azure sign-up again and re-enter the address.
- Match billing address country with Azure sign-up country
The billing address must be in the same country/region selected in the About you step. If there is any mismatch, address validation can fail.- In the Azure sign-up flow, confirm that Vietnam is selected in About you.
- Enter an address that is physically in Vietnam, including city/province and postal code.
- Check for account-type limitations
If the Microsoft account is associated with an unmanaged Microsoft Entra directory or a special program account, sign-up can fail for reasons that look like profile/address problems.- If this Gmail-based account was ever used to self-sign up into an unmanaged Microsoft Entra directory, consider trying Azure sign-up with a different Microsoft account or follow the guidance in Take over an unmanaged directory as administrator in Microsoft Entra ID.
- If the account was created through the Microsoft 365 Developer Program, it cannot be used to purchase other paid services; in that case, use a different Microsoft account for Azure.
- Retry sign-up after profile fixes
Once profile, locale, and country/region are corrected:- Sign out of all Microsoft services.
- Close the browser completely.
- Reopen the browser, go to the Azure sign-up page, and try again with the updated profile.
- If the error persists, contact support
If address validation still fails after confirming profile completeness, locale, and country consistency, this may be a backend validation issue for Vietnam addresses. In that case:- Use the Azure support options listed under Contact us for help (forums, @AzureSupport, or a support request if a support plan is available) and provide:
- The exact error message.
- Country/Region (Vietnam).
- A sample address that fails validation.
Support can check whether there is a regional address-validation problem affecting Vietnam.
