Using Outlook for Android for personal email and calendar management
Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.
If I understand correctly, you are having trouble receiving the verification code because your phone number has been lost or is no longer accessible.?
Did you had Microsoft authenticator app on your old device?
Do you have any other recovery options, such as a recovery email address, that you can use to verify your identity?
If yes, you will need to replace the security information in your Microsoft account. On the Verify Your Identity screen, select “I don’t have any of these” and follow the prompts to replace your security information.
- If you are stuck on the screen shown in the screenshot here, you will need to replace your security information.
Note: If you remove all of your previous security information and replace it with new information, your account will be placed in a restricted state for 30 days.
Microsoft has removed the option to add a phone number as a verification method for security reasons. Therefore, you can no longer add a phone number to confirm your identity.
