This is apparently a recurring issue. When I hit CTRL+P and then enter, it used to print to the previously selected printer. Now I have to actually click on the PRINT button to make it print.

This is a widely reported problem caused by a recent update to the Edge browser, there is need to make any changes to your browser, that will not fix the problem.

The problem introduced in the update is the Print button is not automatically focused on the Print Preview window, so pressing Enter, does not automatically click the Print button.

The best option is to open Edge, press Alt + Shift + i and on the resulting Feedback Panel, report this lack of functionality to the Edge Developers, so they can make the required change before the next Edge update.

"It sounds like you are experiencing an issue where the keyboard shortcut sequence (Ctrl+P followed by Enter) is no longer triggering the print command as expected in Microsoft Edge. This is often caused by a temporary browser glitch, corrupted cache, or interference from extensions.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve this:

Clear Browser Cache: Accumulated temporary files can interfere with browser shortcuts. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete, select 'Cached images and files', and click 'Clear now'. Restart Edge and test the shortcut again.

Disable Extensions: Sometimes a third-party extension can override default browser shortcuts. Navigate to edge://extensions/ and toggle all extensions off temporarily. If the shortcut starts working, re-enable them one by one to identify the culprit.

Check for Edge Updates: Ensure your browser is running the latest version, as Microsoft frequently releases patches for UI responsiveness issues. Go to edge://settings/help to trigger an automatic check for updates.

Reset Edge Settings: If the issue persists, you can restore browser settings to their default state by going to edge://settings/reset. This will not affect your favorites or passwords, but it will reset startup pages, new tab pages, search engines, and pinned tabs.

If the issue continues after these steps, I recommend reporting it directly to the development team using the Feedback Hub by pressing Alt + Shift + I within the Edge browser. This allows them to analyze the diagnostic data and address the bug in future builds."
