I am trying to remove an account from a company I dont work for anymore.

I obviously don't have access to the account but it is in my Authenticator. How do I remove it without removing any other accounts.

According to the AI, my account is stuck. I would need to flush the data on my cell for my Authenticator.

To remove just the old company account from Microsoft Authenticator and keep the others:

    1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app.
    2. In the account list, tap the old company account that needs to be removed.
    3. Tap the Settings gear for that account.
    4. Tap Remove account.
      • After removal, that device can no longer be used to verify sign-in for that account.

If the Remove account option is not visible for that specific account and it is effectively “stuck,” the supported way to clear it is to reset the app’s data. This removes all accounts from Authenticator on that device, so only use this if comfortable re-adding the other accounts afterward:

    On Android

    1. Open the device Settings app.
    2. Go to Apps and select Authenticator.
    3. Select Storage or Storage & cache.
    4. Tap Clear data, then OK.
      • This permanently removes all accounts from Authenticator on that device.
    5. Reopen Authenticator and re-add the accounts that are still needed.

    On iOS

    1. Open the device Settings app.
    2. Go to General > Storage.
    3. Select Authenticator.
    4. Tap Offload App.
      • This removes all accounts from Authenticator on that device.
    5. Reinstall Authenticator and re-add the required accounts.

Before clearing all data, ensure there is a way to re-add important accounts (for example, via backup, alternate verification methods, or admin help), because there is no undo once the accounts are removed.
