Azure AI Video Indexer: Videos stuck at 83% indexing in Sweden Central while same videos work in West Europe
Hi all,
Is anyone else currently experiencing indexing issues with Azure AI Video Indexer in Sweden Central?
Service
Azure AI Video Indexer
Scenario
We are uploading videos through the API by URL into the Azure AI Video Indexer account in Sweden Central. This worked normally for the last two weeks, but since today multiple videos suddenly get stuck during indexing at 83%.
Environment
- Azure region with issue: Sweden Central / swedencentral
- Account type: Paid Azure AI Video Indexer account
- Upload methods tested:
- Upload through the Video Indexer portal
- Upload through the Video Indexer API
- Comparison test:
- The same videos are processed successfully in my personal Video Indexer account in West Europe
Actual result
Videos in the Sweden Central account get stuck at exactly 83% indexing.
The affected videos also cannot be deleted from the portal because they are still marked as being indexed.
Expected result
The videos should complete indexing successfully, as they do in the West Europe account.
Reproducible steps
- Upload a video to the Azure AI Video Indexer account in Sweden Central.
- Wait for indexing to progress.
- The video reaches 83%.
- Indexing does not complete.
- Try the same video in a Video Indexer account in West Europe.
- The same video completes successfully there.
Troubleshooting already done
- Tested upload through the portal.
- Tested upload through the API.
- Tested the same video files in a different region, West Europe, where they process successfully.
- Multiple videos are affected.
- The issue started suddenly today after working normally for the last two weeks.
- Generic guidance about Azure Media Services / Media Reserved Units was suggested, but that appears to be outdated or unrelated to the current Azure AI Video Indexer / Microsoft Foundry Video Indexer setup.
Question
Can anyone confirm whether they are currently seeing similar Azure AI Video Indexer indexing issues in Sweden Central?
Also, is there a known way to cancel or remove videos that are stuck in the indexing state when the portal does not allow deletion?
Thanks.
