Is AI-103 the right certification to become an AI Engineer focused on freelancing?

Hi everyone,

I'm an aspiring AI Engineer with a goal of building a career in AI freelancing.

So far, I've learned Python for AI, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, and Google AI Studio, and I'm building hands-on projects. I don't have professional industry experience yet.

I'm considering preparing for AI-103: Developing AI Apps and Agents on Azure.

Would you recommend AI-103 as the best next certification for my goal, or should I start with another Microsoft certification first?

I'd also appreciate any advice on which Azure AI skills are most valuable for freelancing.

AI-103 is probably the best aligned exam

There is no conformation as to if or how the certification could assist with freelance work. Certifications are normally not enough, you need real hands-on provable work experience to gain freelance engagements.
