Unable to deploy public ip address

This error usually indicates that Azure cannot find available capacity for the exact Public IP configuration being requested:

No matching inventory for the requested VIP of address family: IPv4, sku: Standard and availability zone: uswest3-AZ02 (Code: NoMatchingInventoryForRequestedVip)

What this means

Azure is attempting to allocate a Standard IPv4 Public IP in the specified Availability Zone (AZ02), but there is currently no matching Public IP inventory available for that combination in the selected region and zone.

Troubleshooting steps

1. Try creating the Public IP without selecting a specific Availability Zone (Zone-redundant or No Zone, if available). Standard Public IPs support zonal and zone-redundant configurations.
2. If a zonal Public IP is required, try deploying it in a different Availability Zone and then associate it with the VM NIC.
3. Verify that the Public IP and VM are being deployed in the same Azure region and that the selected SKU is compatible with the deployment.
4. If you require a persistent public address, create a Standard Static Public IP and then associate it with the VM's network interface IP configuration.
5. After creating the Public IP, navigate to: VM → Networking → Network Interface → IP Configurations → Public IP address and associate the newly created Public IP with the VM NIC.
