Hello,

I passed Exam AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions on June 23, 2026.

My Microsoft Learn profile shows:

  • Exam AZ-305 status: Passed
  • Exams Passed: 1
  • Learn Username: VineetBaraker-9146

However, I cannot find or download the certification certificate from my Microsoft Learn Credentials profile.

I have checked:

  • Past Exams
  • Transcript
  • Credentials section

The exam is recorded as Passed, but no certificate is available for download.

Could someone please verify:

  1. Whether my certification has been issued correctly.
  2. Whether any prerequisite or profile issue is preventing the certificate from appearing.
  3. How I can access/download my certificate and badge.

Thank you.

Exams are not certifications. The AZ-305 exam is only part of the requirements for the Azure Solution Architect Expert certification. You must also hold an active Azure Administrator Associate certification.

    1. Whether my certification has been issued correctly - you have not earned the certification
    2. Whether any prerequisite or profile issue is preventing the certificate from appearing - yes Azure Administrator is reqyured
    3. How I can access/download my certificate and badge - once you have passed the AZ-104 exam you will be able to access your certification - Microsoft does not provide badges

Exam AZ-305 is an exam, not a certification by itself. For the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, AZ-305 is only part of the requirement. An active prerequisite certification is also required before a certificate is issued.

From the certification details, the Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification lists:

    • Prerequisites: 1 certification
    • Required exams: AZ-305

Moderator guidance for a similar case confirms that:

    • "Exams are not certifications. The AZ-305 exam is only part of the requirements for the Azure Solution Architect Expert certification. You must also hold an active Azure Administrator Associate certification."

This explains why the Learn profile shows AZ-305 as Passed but no certification certificate is available:

    1. Certification issuance
The AZ-305 exam result has been recorded correctly (status: Passed, appears in Exams and Transcript). However, the Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification will not be issued until the required prerequisite certification (for example, Azure Administrator Associate) is active.
    2. Prerequisite or profile issues
The most likely reason the certificate is not appearing is that the prerequisite certification is missing or not active. To confirm there is no profile issue:
      • Sign in to the correct Microsoft Learn profile (especially if multiple accounts have been used).
      • Verify all earned certifications under Profile → Credentials → Certifications.
      • If a certification or exam is missing that you believe you have earned, follow the guidance in the "Missing Exams or Certifications" article and, if needed, contact Microsoft Credentials Support.
    3. How to access/download the certificate and badge (once all requirements are met)
After holding the required prerequisite certification and passing AZ-305:
      • Go to the Microsoft Learn profile: Profile → Credentials → Certifications.
      • Select View certification details for the Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
      • Use the Print option to print and then "Save to PDF" to create a downloadable certificate file.
      • Badges and transcript can be accessed via the Certification Dashboard and the Learn profile transcript as described in the referenced articles.

If all requirements are met and the certification still does not appear, use the Microsoft Credentials Support channel from the missing-certifications guidance to have the credential record checked.
