A Microsoft offering that enables tracking of cloud usage and expenditures for Azure and other cloud providers.
Hello Serouj Baghdassarian,
Based on your description, the issue appears to have progressed beyond a standard payment method update. When an Azure subscription remains unpaid for an extended period and the invoice status becomes Locked, the Pay Now option may be unavailable, even after updating the credit card information.
Since the portal is displaying "You can’t pay this invoice in the portal. Please contact Azure Support for assistance", this typically requires intervention from the Azure Billing team to review and unlock the invoice before payment can be processed.
As you're unable to create a support request through the Azure portal, I recommend trying the Billing support request flow through the Azure Subscription Management support channel and providing:
- Subscription ID
- Billing Account ID (if available)
- Screenshot of the locked invoice status
- Screenshot of the payment error message
Additionally, could you confirm:
- Whether this is a Pay-As-You-Go or Visual Studio/other subscription type?
- Whether the subscription status is Disabled or Deactivated?
- If you are the Account Administrator/Owner of the subscription?
This information will help determine the appropriate recovery path for the subscription and outstanding invoices.
