Unfortunately, I have a Surface Pro 11 as neither Microsoft nor the store I purchased from warned me they don't work with many printers. And my printer is in the category where there is no driver that Microsoft or Canon has released as yet that will make it work with the ARM processor. So I'm left with buy a new computer or buy a new printer.
I found a list of printers on another thread that supposedly work with the Surface Pro 11, but the only one on the list that I can get in Australia is the Brother HL-L2350DW. It is $400. I have NEVER had to spend more than $150 on a printer to meet my very basic home printer/scanner needs.
The list was from November 2024 so perhaps there are other printers you can suggest I look for that have come out.
In 2025 this is a completely ridiculous situation and Microsoft should have done better. I will never be purchasing a Microsoft product again.

I fully agree, I have spent $$$$$$ on my new Microsoft Surface Pro 11th Edition, returned my brand new Epson printer because that was not compatible and purchased a Canon, and now just spent 2 hours on live chat with Microsoft IT and then "Analyn Barba" decided I was "too exhausted" to continue and better we communicate via email. I stated " Email is an extremely hard way to communicate. Is there a Microsoft IT person who can come to my house in Perth, WA". She then said I am busy drafting an email and did the "are we still connected", "Its been a few minutes", "I haven't seen a reply from you", "Thank you for your time, wish you a wonderful day ahead". All within seconds while I was typing back saying I am here.
For a billion dollar entity, what absolutely poor technical flaws and service to boot!!!
I am seriously considering cancelling all of my subscriptions with Microsoft, returning the $2000 Surface Pro, to never support Microsoft again, in my business and personal life.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I have done some research about the printers available in Australia and see that some places have a Canon Pixma for around $58 with an Epson Workforce in second place at around $158 and HP OfficeJet Pro $235.
Unfortunately I would be unable to post specific links for you but if you search for either of the three at your local stores or their respective manufacturer website you should find some deals.
