Can Windows 11 display multiple rows in the taskbar? How?

I want Windows 11 taskbar to display the active applications in multiple rows in the taskbar. (Just like Windows 10)

How can I do this?

    MS have recently sent out their annual message saying how wonderful the feedback program is and what a wonder Windows 11 is after 11 years. A pat on the back for themselves whilst ignoring things that make life easier for some users. Obviously MS technicians don't work in the way some of us want to work.

    I have the same question and did follow your guide. Windows 24H2 build 26100.3476. At least in my case, the registry hack doesn't have any (visible) effect.

    Tried with Windows 11 Enterprise 24H2 build 26100.6584 and it did not work. The registry value was already at 02 - changing to 01 had no effect on the taskbar rows and neither did reverting back to 02.

    Thank you for reaching out regarding your request to enable multiple rows in the Windows 11 taskbar, similar to the functionality available in Windows 10.

    Currently, Windows 11 does not natively support multi-row taskbars through standard settings. However, for advanced users, there is a potential workaround using the Windows Registry Editor.

    Registry Editor Workaround (Advanced Users Only)

    Steps:

    1. Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
    2. Navigate to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects3
    3. Locate the binary value under Settings.
    4. In row 00000028, column FE, change the value from 01 to 02.
    5. Restart Windows Explorer via Task Manager:
    • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
      • Find Windows Explorer, right-click, and select Restart.

    Note: Please note that this method is not officially supported by Microsoft and may not work on Windows 11 version 24H2 or later. 

    Additional Options:

    Although this is a limitation of Windows 11, some users have successfully achieved multi-row taskbar functionality by using third-party applications. Please note that these tools are not developed or supported by Microsoft, and we are unable to recommend or support them directly.
