I am trying to add a daughter to Family 365 OneDrive. I set her up as organiser but do not want this.

She installed Onedrive on ipad before I had added her to my family group and you want a fee. We need to delete this app on ******@gmail.com so I can add her and then she can download app.

To achieve the goal there are three separate tasks:

    1. Fix the Family role (Organizer → Member)
    2. Remove the existing OneDrive sign‑in on the iPad
    3. Add the child correctly to the Microsoft family and let her use OneDrive under that account

    1. Change daughter from Organizer to Member

If the daughter was added as an Organizer, remove her from the family group and re‑add her as a Member.

    1. Using the Family organizer’s account, sign in at family.microsoft.com.
    2. Locate the daughter’s account in the family list.
    3. Remove her from the family group.
    4. Select Add a family member.
    5. Choose Member (best option for a child), then Next.
    6. Enter her email address (for example the Gmail‑based Microsoft account) and send the invite.
    7. Have her accept the invitation from the email to rejoin as a Member.

If using the Family Safety mobile app instead:

    1. Open the Microsoft Family Safety app.
    2. Scroll down and tap Add a family member (after removing the old entry if needed).
    3. Enter her phone number or email, tap Next.
    4. Choose Member, then Invite to family group.

    2. Remove the existing OneDrive account on the iPad

If OneDrive on the iPad is currently signed in with the wrong Microsoft account (for example, a standalone account that is prompting for a subscription), sign it out. Deleting the app is optional; signing out is enough.

On the iPad (OneDrive mobile app):

    1. Open the OneDrive app.
    2. Tap the profile picture or icon.
    3. Tap Settings.
    4. Tap the account that should be removed, then tap Sign out.
      • Files in OneDrive are not deleted; they remain in the cloud and can be accessed via OneDrive on the web.

If desired, the app itself can then be deleted from the iPad via iOS, and reinstalled later from the App Store.

    3. Add the correct account and use OneDrive under the family setup

After the daughter is correctly added as a Member in the Microsoft family group and the wrong sign‑in has been removed from the iPad:

    1. Install or open the OneDrive app on the iPad.
    2. When prompted, sign in with the daughter’s Microsoft account that is part of the family group.
    3. If multiple accounts are needed on the device, additional OneDrive accounts can be added from the profile icon → Add account, but only one personal OneDrive account is allowed per device, and only one account can use camera backup.

If the goal is to share Microsoft 365 Family benefits (including OneDrive storage) with the daughter, ensure the subscription owner has set up the family group and invited her as described above. Once she accepts, the Office/OneDrive benefits are automatically associated with her Microsoft account.
