Skype Dial Pad not available in Teams Free after Skype migration -

Hello,

I am an active Microsoft 365 Personal subscriber.

I recently migrated from Skype to Microsoft Teams Free using the same Microsoft account. My chats and contacts were transferred successfully.

According to Microsoft's documentation, the Skype Dial Pad should still be available to existing paid Skype users. However, I do not see the Dial Pad anywhere in Teams Free.

I used to make calls through Skype and I am trying to determine whether my account is recognized as an existing paid Skype user.

Could someone please tell me how I can verify whether my account still has any Skype calling entitlement, Skype Credit, Skype subscription, or calling benefit associated with it?

I contacted Microsoft Support and was advised that this question should be directed to the Skype team.

The free 60 minutes from your Microsoft 365 subscription are no longer available. This service was discontinued by March this year.

Why is Microsoft removing the 60 minutes of Skype calls feature in Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscriptions? Aligned with changes to our consumer communications offerings announced in March 2025, Skype minutes will be removed from Microsoft 365 Personal and Microsoft 365 Family subscription benefits beginning March 2026.
When is this benefit going away? The 60 minutes of Skype calls feature will be removed from Microsoft 365 Personal and Microsoft 365 Family subscriptions starting March 2026.
Do I need to take any action? No action is needed. The 60 minutes of Skype calls will be removed automatically from paid Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plan benefits starting March 2026.

After reviewing Microsoft's official documentation, I understand that the 60-minute Skype calling benefit included with Microsoft 365 Personal was removed beginning in March 2026.

I would appreciate clarification on the following points:

Is it correct that there is no replacement benefit for Microsoft 365 Personal subscribers who previously received the 60 monthly Skype calling minutes?

Is there any way to continue making calls to landlines and mobile numbers using my Microsoft account, even if it requires purchasing a new subscription or service? If so, what is the recommended replacement?

Since this benefit was removed from Microsoft 365 Personal, is Microsoft offering any compensation, credit, or alternative benefit for existing subscribers who lost this feature?

As far as I know, Microsoft is not offering any compensation for users with Microsoft 365 subscription.

As already stated in the article on changes of the paid Skype features, phone calling features are not supported in Teams with personal subscription. This feature requires Teams with a business account.

Microsoft Teams does not support paid calling plans on the free version of Teams, but small businesses can consider the Teams Essentials offering, which can be paired with Microsoft Teams Phone, a cloud-based call control solution. Sign in to this Skype Dial Pad site on the Web with exactly the same credentials as you have used with Skype.

If you have an active Skype credit, then this site will open with the dial pad available.

Be aware that Skype credit might be deactivated if not used within the last 180 days. This deactivated credit can be reactivated using this reactivation site.

Hi Ruwim,

Thank you for your suggestion. I followed your instructions and signed in to the Skype Dial Pad website using the same Microsoft account that I have always used with Skype.

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work for me. My Skype account shows a balance of 0, and the Skype Dial Pad is not available in Microsoft Teams Free either.

I am an active Microsoft 365 Personal subscriber. Before Skype was retired, my understanding was that Microsoft 365 included Skype calling benefits (monthly calling minutes).

Could you please clarify whether this Microsoft 365 benefit still exists for existing subscribers? If it does, how can I restore or activate it on my account? If it has been discontinued, could you please confirm that officially?
