Additional meeting and call-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hi @Patrick McMahon,
The short answer is yes, you can use your GoDaddy email with Microsoft Teams to host meetings, but it really depends on how that email account is set up behind the scenes:
- If your GoDaddy email address is already tied to a Microsoft 365 account that includes a Teams license, then you’re good to go. In that case, you can simply sign in to Teams using that email address and host meetings just like you’re currently doing with your Gmail account.
- On the other hand, if your GoDaddy email is just a standalone mailbox and not connected to a Microsoft 365 subscription, then it won’t be able to host Teams meetings on its own. Teams requires an active Microsoft 365 license, so you would first need to set up or assign a plan that includes Teams to that email account.
If you’re not entirely sure which scenario you’re in, a good next step would be to check with GoDaddy support. They can help confirm whether your domain is already linked to a Microsoft 365 subscription or guide you through setting one up if needed. Once everything is properly configured and licensed, you’ll be able to sign in with your GoDaddy email and host meetings without any issues.
