Additional meeting and call-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hello @Dawn LeBrun,
Thank you for your question and for sharing your use case, I completely understand how helpful it would be to have more control over the breakout room timing.
Regarding the option to extend the time (for example from 10 seconds to 60 seconds when closing breakout rooms), unfortunately this is not something that can be adjusted at the moment, as the timing is currently fixed by design in Microsoft Teams.
For your second question about showing a timer, there is an option you can try within the meeting. During the meeting, you can select “More actions” (the three dots) and then choose “Timer.” From there, you can set a countdown duration, and participants will also be able to see the timer counting down, which can help them be more aware of the remaining time.
I truly appreciate your feedback on this, your suggestion is very valuable. If possible, I would encourage you to share it directly with the product team through the Feedback Portal here: Microsoft Teams · Community
