Additional meeting and call-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hi Morman,
Good day, and thank you for sharing the detailed information
Based on your description, I understand that the meeting duration was adjusted from 45 minutes to 30 minutes. However, this type of update would not typically affect or remove any existing meeting notes, since the notes are saved independently and are not linked to the meeting length.
I also tried recreating a similar recurring meeting scenario and adding notes, and I’d like to share a few observations that may help:
1/ The notes may be available within the meeting details
I was able to find the notes from the meeting details
To do this you can try:
- Go to Teams > Calendar.
- Find the meeting and double-click on it to show the meeting details
- The notes might still be available, as shown in the image below.
2/ Notes may be saved as a Loop component
I was also able to locate the same notes in Loop when I tested. You may want to try the following:
- Go to https://loop.cloud.microsoft/
- Look under Meeting notes or Recent
- Check if your notes appear there
3/ Notes may be stored under yours or the meeting organizer's OneDrive
From what I observed, the notes are also saved as a separate file in the background. You may also try:
- Go to Teams > select the three dots > OneDrive
- Select the folder: My Files > Meetings > Check if your notes appear there
4/ Contact your IT admin
If the issue persists after applying these steps, the best next step would be to have your IT administrator open a support ticket with Microsoft via the admin center. A technical support engineer can then initiate a remote session, review backend settings, and run diagnostics. If needed, they can escalate the case to specialized engineering teams who are well-equipped to perform advanced troubleshooting and provide targeted solutions.
As moderators, our primary goal is to provide helpful guidance and support through general troubleshooting steps. While we don’t have access to internal systems or administrative tools required to resolve account-specific or backend issues, we truly appreciate your understanding of these limitations. We genuinely hope the information we share helps point you in the right direction, and we're always here to assist as much as we can within our scope.
For guidance on how to request support in the admin center, please share this with your admin: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.
I hope this information is helpful. Thank you for taking the time to raise this question. If you need any further clarification or assistance, please feel free to leave a comment under this post.
