Macbook - Outloock server connection issues

Hi, I'm using the updated Outlook on Mac, everything was working fine for months then suddenly I cannot download or preview attachments in any format. It gives me this error: "Outlook needs to redownload the attachments from the server. Please retry later."

note: I'm using private server configured through IMAP

    In order to assist you better, I will need more information:

    Please provide your macOS and Outlook version.

    What is your IMAP provider?

    If you switch to Legacy Outlook, do the attachment download normally?

    Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    • Remove and re-add your account. Make sure you fill in correctly your port and server name. Use app password (depends on provider, could be optional in your case)
    • Since you mentioned it suddenly occurred, you can consider convert to older version of New Outlook Mac.
