    Hi LORI ALYEA,

If the audio driver did not reinstall automatically after restarting, Windows may not be detecting the audio device correctly, or the driver package may have been removed completely. Please try these steps:

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
    • Check whether the audio device reappears under Sound, video and game controllers or Other devices.

If it still does not appear:

    • Visit your PC manufacturer's support website.
    • Download the latest audio driver for your exact model.
    • Install the driver manually and restart the PC.

Also check whether there are any devices showing a yellow warning icon in Device Manager, as this can indicate the audio hardware is detected but missing a driver.

To help narrow this down, please let us know more information as suggested by the Independent Advisor. We'll be glad to guide you further.

    Hi,

I will find the driver manually, nothing to worry about.

    Please supply the following Information.

Right-click the Start button and Choose the Run option

    Type in msinfo32

    Press enter.

Take a screenshot of the System Summary window and post it in the next reply.

I look forward to your response and am eager to collaborate until we find a solution.
