how do I find the year I purchased my surface pro 4?

I understand you need to find the purchase date/year for your Surface Pro 4.

The best place to start is your Microsoft account device page. Please sign in to your Microsoft account, go to Devices, select your Surface, then choose Info & support to check the device and warranty/coverage details. If the Surface is not listed, you may need to register it first using the serial number. For Surface Pro models, the serial number is usually located under the kickstand near its base.

Please note that Surface Pro 4 is considered an End of Servicing product.

In the meantime, you can also check:

• Your email inbox for an order confirmation or receipt.
• Your Microsoft Store order history, if you bought it directly from Microsoft.
• The retailer account/order history if it was purchased from another store.
