Hi Gerry Vandevalk,
I understand how frustrating this must be, especially since the issue has persisted across hardware replacements, driver updates, and multiple Bluetooth headsets.
You mentioned that your IT group replaced the motherboard and Bluetooth hardware. Is this laptop:
- A personal/home PC using a personal Microsoft account, or
- A work/school-managed device provided by an organization?
If this is an organization-managed device, your IT department would need to continue investigating the issue.
If this is a personal Windows 11 PC, please check whether Windows detects the microphone at all:
- Press Windows + I and open “System” > “Sound”.
- Under “Input”, see whether your Bluetooth headset appears as an available microphone.
- If it does appear, select it and click “Start test” to see whether input levels respond.
- Also check “Settings” > “Privacy & security” > “Microphone” and make sure “Microphone access” is turned On.
