So i got a new quadcast microphone for christmas of 2025 and i changed pcs in march 2026. For some reason in the beginning the microphone work perfectly, but now it just doesnt. It gets recognized by the PC and the drivers connect correctly but no audio is playing through. I tried monitoring it by putting in an aux cable but still nothing. I havent dropped it. I havent spilled anything on it. I have it on a boom arm and routed away from where i usually move most. What could be the issue?

PS: i also tried uninstalling the device, uninstalling the drivers, updating the drivers, setting the microphone to a default communication device, but still nothing. It worked for a day this june so i know there isnt any issues with the hardware nor the quality so what could the issue be?

    Welcome Krizma _1,

I understand how frustrating it can be when your HyperX QuadCast S microphone is detected by Windows 11 and the drivers appear to install correctly, but the microphone is not capturing any audio even after reinstalling the device and drivers.

Before proceeding, could you confirm the following:

    • Does the microphone level meter move under Settings > System > Sound > Input when you speak into the microphone?
    • Have you recently installed any audio software such as HyperX NGENUITY, Nahimic, Sonic Studio, Voicemod, SteelSeries Sonar, or other audio enhancement applications?

I look forward to your reply so we can continue working together to address the issue.
