I am going to take the plunge and update from my Surface Pro 7 to the newest Surface Pro 12th gen Intel. I do music production and need the compatibility.

I need to immediately upgrade the SSD to 2 TB. From AI searches I get this result.

 **Replacement SSD:** [M.2 2230 Gen 4 NVMe](https://www.google.com/search?ibp=oshop&prds=pvt:hg,pvo:29,imageDocid:12483701496162176174,headlineOfferDocid:17615533941248226276,productDocid:17615533941248226276,rds:PC_4088784618873516776%7CPROD_PC_4088784618873516776&q=product&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiZ4-C3grCVAxXQKDQIHeeIFrAQxa4PegoIAggACAAICxAD)

Is this accurate? If not, what are the proper specs and suggested options. Thx

Buy the WD Black SN770M 2TB, M.2 2230, PCIe Gen4. That's the correct spec and the correct drive.
