My purchased office 365 personal key isn't working.

when I attempt to activate my product, I get the following message:

Sorry, we can't set up your account right now

Please come back later to redeem your product key.

Why isn't this working?

    Hi,

    Could you please let me know where you purchased your Microsoft 365 license key?

    Also, did you receive this error while redeeming the product key, or while activating the Microsoft 365 apps after installation using the product key?

    To clarify, the product key must first be redeemed by signing in to your Microsoft account at www.office.com/setup or Microsoft365.com/setup and entering the product key. Once the redemption is complete, the Microsoft 365 subscription becomes linked to that Microsoft account. You can then install and activate the Microsoft 365 apps by signing in with the same Microsoft account associated with the subscription.
