Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
Hi Pablo,
I understand how upsetting it is to lose access to an account that also contains your Xbox profile and saved items, especially after the sign-in email was changed.
Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors here cannot access accounts, verify ownership, or manually restore a Microsoft account. The only supported recovery path is through the official Microsoft account recovery process.
Please try the steps below:
- Review Microsoft's guidance for recovering a compromised account: How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account.
- If you can no longer sign in or do not recognize the recovery email or phone number associated with the account, complete the Microsoft account recovery form: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form. Before submitting the form, please review the guidance in that article carefully, as it explains what information can help improve the chances of proving account ownership.
- For Xbox-specific account security information, you can also review: Secure your account if you think you’ve been hacked.
If the recovery form is unsuccessful, you may try contacting Microsoft Support via live chat for further guidance:
- Visit the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact - Microsoft Support
- In the search bar provided on the page, type "Account Recovery" and press Enter.
- Click on the "Get Help" button that appears.
- Scroll down the page until you see and click on the "Contact Support" option.
- When prompted to select your product or service, choose "Other Products".
- For the category, choose "Manage Account Security".
- Look for and click on "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".
- When prompted, provide a valid contact email where Microsoft can reach you regarding your case.
- Explain your situation clearly: Be concise but provide all the relevant details.
Also keep in mind that support agents cannot bypass the account recovery process or manually change account details, but they may be able to guide you through the available recovery options.
I hope this helps.
